I was very fortunate to start my television news career in Phoenix at the CBS affiliate KPHO-TV.

I started during my senior year of college as an MMJ in training. I shot video, edited and wrote anchor packages. This arrangement soon led up to straight packages and the occasional live shot on the weekends.

It wasn't until almost a year later my freelance status was upgraded to full-time!
I was so fortunate to work with the best in the business. Truly.

I was able to cover national stories, learn how to deal with a fast-paced environment and develop critical news judgement skills in a large market.

People ask me: Why did you leave Phoenix for Tucson? I tell them because I needed to challenge myself again. I am doing that now as an anchor. With my new position, I'm under even more scrutiny by management and by our viewers to be the best that I can be! It's a different beast, that's for sure! But in the end, it's all about becoming a better journalist on the air and in the community. There are several stories that I was so lucky to be apart of and many of those stories are posted on this site. Feel free to look around!
