The underrepresentation of Native Americans in TV news is a problem. Many stories from Native communities aren't brought to the average American's attention through mainstream media. Misconceptions and stereotypes are perpetuated without a good understanding of Natives in the community. Silent Voices: Natives in the TV Newsroom tries to explore why there aren't more Natives involved in TV news and some of the repercussions that can result.
